Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 36
This chapter describes Jeremiah’s scroll about Judah being destroyed for her sins by Babylon (v.29). But if Judah turns from evil, she would be forgiven (v.3).
I think this Scripture applies to the USA, which always stood for democracy. It used to have a strong foundation of Christianity, but it replaced its foundation with science and evolution.
The result has been a society with crime, brutality, free sex, gun violence, human trafficking, selfishness, pride, lying, deceit, slandering, etc. running wild. I believe God has allowed Donald Trump to become president to inflict punishment and destroy the USA like Nebuchadnezzar destroyed Judah.
Now the USA’s economy is collapsing; its government is being destroyed by Elon Musk; it is being changed from democracy to authoritarianism; it’s now hated by all the world; and it is in total chaos! Let’s pray the USA will turn from evil and be forgiven. Let’s also learn through the USA’s example to discern evil from good so we can overcome AC!

この章は、ユダが罪のためバビロンに滅ぼされます(29節)が、悔い改めれば赦される(3節)というエレミヤが書いた巻物についてです。
この御言葉は、常に民主主義を標榜してきた米国に当てはまると思います。かつてはキリスト教の強固な基盤がありましたが、その基盤を科学と進化論に置き換えました。
その結果、犯罪、残虐行為、フリーセックス、銃による暴力、人身売買、利己主義、高慢、嘘、欺瞞、中傷などがはびこる社会に転落しました。神はドナルド・トランプを大統領に立てて、ネブカドネザルがユダを滅ぼしたように米国を罰し滅ぼすようにされたと私は信じます。
現在、米国の経済は崩壊し、政府はイーロン・マスクによって破壊され、民主主義から権威主義へと変化し、今や全世界から嫌われ、完全な混乱状態にあります。アメリカが悔い改めて、許されるように祈りましょう。また、アメリカの例を通して善と悪を見分ける方法を学び、反キを克服できるようにしましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 8
This chapter teaches the key on how to live the victorious Christian life over sin. It is found in v.1, “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
Walking in the flesh is always looking at our conduct and measuring it to the law. This will lead to condemnation because our actions break the law so often.
Walking in the spirit is always being in Christ Jesus, or looking at what Jesus did for us on the cross! Instead of emphasizing our failures, it emphasizes if we repent, how we’ve been forgiven and are now righteous in Christ! This leads to joy, victory and love for Jesus!
Let’s learn everyday to walk more in the spirit and less in the flesh!

この章は、罪に打ち勝つクリスチャン生活を送るための鍵を教えています。それは1節と4節にあります。「こういうわけで、今は、キリスト・イエスにある者が罪に定められることは決してありません。」「それは、肉に従って歩まず、御霊に従って歩む私たちの中に、律法の要求が全うされるためなのです。」
肉に従って歩むということは、常に自分の行いを見て、それを律法に照らし合わせることです。私たちの行動はしばしば律法を破るので、これは罪に定められることになります。
御霊に従って歩むということは、常にキリスト・イエスにあること、つまりイエスが十字架上で私たちのためにしてくださったことに目を向けることです。私たちの失敗を強調するのではなく、私たちが悔い改めることによって、どのように赦され、キリストにおいて義とされているかを強調します。これが喜び、勝利、そしてイエスへの愛につながります。
毎日、肉ではなく、霊に従って歩むことを学びましょう。
