Devotion 1 of 2: Jer 31
This chapter is another prophecy of restoration to northern Israel (v.1-22) and southern Judah (v.23-30) and to both Israel and Judah (31-40). This was fulfilled by the Jews returning to Judah in 536 BC after their Babylonian Captivity.
This prophecy can also be applied to Israel in their return to their homeland and establishing their nation in 1948. If we apply this to the endtime church, we could identify northern Israel as the mainline churches, both Catholic and Protestant, and Judah as the Evangelical and Pentecostal churches.
Although there are many believers in these churches who don’t believe in endtime revival, I believe when they see video reports of revival actually happening in many on-fire churches with thousands of people getting saved and healed, many of the sincere, God-fearing and Bible-believing believers will change and join the revival.
So, let’s pray for our “northern Israel” brothers and sisters and gladly share the revival with any who want to learn!

この章は、北イスラエル（1-22節）と南ユダ（23-30節）、そしてイスラエルとユダ（31-40節）の回復に関するもう一つの預言です。これは、ユダヤ人がバビロン捕囚後、紀元前536年にユダに帰還したことで成就しました。
この預言は、1948年に祖国に帰還し国家を樹立したイスラエルにも当てはまります。これを終末の教会に当てはめると、北イスラエルはカトリックとプロテスタントの主流教会、ユダは福音派とペンテコステ派の教会と見なすことができるでしょう。
これらの教会には終末のリバイバルを信じないメンバーがたくさんいますが、燃える教会で実際にリバイバルが起こり、何千人もの人々が救われ癒されるというビデオ報道を見ると、誠実で神を畏れ、聖書を信じる多くの信者は考えを変えてリバイバルに加わるだろうと私は信じます。
ですから、「北イスラエル」の兄弟姉妹のために祈り、学びたい人たちと喜んでリバイバルを分かち合いましょう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 3
In v.9-20, Paul puts all mankind on the defendant’s stand and claims that there is none righteous, no, not one (v.10)! And in v.23, he further states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God!” So, his conclusion as the prosecutor in this court case is that all humanity, Gentiles and Jews, are guilty of sin before God (v.19). Another conclusion is that no one can be justified by his efforts to keep the law because he will always break the law (v.20)!
I wrote on 3/28 that Paul’s prosecution of mankind was covered in v.9-31, but I would like to correct that and say that it was covered in v.9-20 only. V.21-31 should be part of chapters 4-5, which describe Paul’s work as a defense attorney, showing how faith in Christ can give righteousness to humanity!
Let’s thank God that Jesus came to impart His righteousness to us by faith through God’s grace! Amen!

9-20節で、パウロは全人類を被告として立たせ、「義人はいない。ひとりもいない」と主張します（10節）。そして23節ではさらに、「すべての人は、罪を犯したので、神からの栄誉を受けることができず、」と述べています。したがって、この裁判の検察官としての彼の結論は、異邦人であろうとユダヤ人であろうと、すべての人類は神の前に罪を犯しているということです（19節）。もう1つの結論は、律法を守ろうと努力しても、誰も義と認められないということです。なぜなら、人は必ず律法を破るからです（20節）。
3月28日に、パウロの人類に対する訴追が書かれているのは9-31節と書きましたが、訂正して、9-20節でした。その後の21-31節は、弁護士としてのパウロの働きを記述し、キリストへの信仰が人類に義を与えることができることを示した4-5章の一部であるべきです！
イエスが神の恵みを通して神の義を私たちに与えるために来てくださったことを神に感謝しましょう！アーメン！
