Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 103
In this psalm, I counted 23 benefits that we receive from God. They are the reasons why we should bless the Lord, which we are commanded to do 5 times in this psalm. A command being repeated 5 times shows how important it is for us to bless the Lord! Let’s look at just 1 benefit that we receive from God!
“Who redeems your life from destruction” (v.4a). Our life was doomed for eternal destruction, but Jesus came to rescue us and give us new life instead! An example of what Jesus has done for us can be seen, in one sense, in a basketball player named Caitlin Clark (CC).
She was selected in the 2024 draft by the Indiana Fever, which was the weakest team for many years in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). However, many older players said CC wouldn’t do well in the WNBA. And, true to that prediction, the Fevers started poorly, with only 1 win and 8 losses! And CC was also struggling as opposing players constantly committed fouls against her, hitting her, throwing her to the floor and slamming her from behind.
But in contrast to the mocking and rough play by her opponents, CC never talked back or criticized them. She said that the fouls against her were only part of basketball, so no one was doing that on purpose. She became a model of decency and not blaming others, but only staying focused on working hard to get better.
Slowly her team was influenced by her positive spirit and hard work ethic. They began to become a unified team, loving and supporting each other, even through the hard times. And slowly, they began to win games! After a while, they became the hottest team in the WNBA! And miraculously, they made the playoffs! They were eliminated in the 1st round of the playoffs, but still, their season was transformed from disaster to triumph through CC’s leadership.
I believe this story can be seen as a picture of how Jesus can change our lives from defeat to victory. By believing in Him, by not complaining, by staying focused on God’s kingdom on earth, we can change our everyday experiences from disappointments to triumphs! We can move forward toward a vision of being used by God as an endtime harvest worker to lead dozens, or even hundreds, of souls to salvation!
Let’s bless the Lord for redeeming our life from destruction! PTL!

このストーリーは、イエスが私たちの人生を敗北から勝利へと変えてくださることを表していると私は信じています。主を信じ、不平を言わず、地上における神の王国に集中し続けることで、私たちは日々の経験を失望から勝利へと変えることができます！何十人、何百人もの魂を救いに導く終末の収穫者として神に用いられるというビジョンに向かって前進することができるのです！

Devotion 2 of 2: Rev 1
Revelation is one of the most important books for the LDC to understand heading into the LD. In it, Jesus explains what will happen in the endtime. He wants us to understand, so we can work together with Him to bring His glorious endtime plan to fruition. That’s why He led John to write this book!
V.7 says, “Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.” This is about Jesus’ 2nd coming. It is one of the most important events of the endtime.
Most Christians believe there will be 2 comings—the rapture coming and the 2nd coming. We need to know which coming each Scripture is talking about. This verse is talking about the 2nd coming to the Mt. of Olives to save the Jews.
Let’s study Revelation to understand endtime events and God’s endtime plan so we can cooperate with God to fulfill His endtime plan!
