Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 51
David wrote this psalm after he committed adultery with Bathsheba and then had her husband killed in battle (2 Sam 11). Betrayal in marriage destroys many families, causing severe emotional damage to those involved.
After an affair, about 1/3 of marriages end and 2/3 continue. Of those that continue, at 5 years, those who are transparent and seek help have a 57% survival rate, but 43% still divorce. But without transparency and help, at 5 years, 80% have ended. Praise God that David repented sincerely for his sin in v.3-4. Let us, too, genuinely repent of our sins!

ダビデはバテ・シェバと姦淫の罪を犯し、さらに彼女の夫を戦死させた後にこの詩篇を書いた（2サム11章）。結婚生活における裏切りは多くの家庭を破壊し、当事者に深刻な精神的ダメージを与える。
不倫の後、約1/3の夫婦が離婚に至り、約2/3は関係を継続する。継続する夫婦のうち、隠し立てをせず助けを求める人々は5年後の継続率が57%であるが、43%はなおも離婚に至る。しかし、透明性と助けがない場合、5年後には80%が破局している。ダビデが3–4節で自身の罪を心から悔い改めたことを、神に感謝する。私たちもまた、自らの罪を真に悔い改めよう。
Devotion 2 of 2: Gal 3
In this chapter Paul points out the covenant of promise (faith, grace) actually precedes the covenant of Law (works)!
Paul said in v.17-18, “…the law, which was 430 years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ (through Abraham), that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.”
In other words, the New Covenant of Jesus actually came before the Law through Abraham, who lived 430 years before Moses!
デボーション2/2：ガラ3章
本章においてパウロは、約束（信仰、恵み）の契約が、実際には律法（行い）の契約に先立っていることを指摘している。
パウロは17-18節で次のように述べている。「･･･先に神によって結ばれた契約を、その後四百三十年たってできた律法が無効にし、その約束を破棄することはありません。もし相続が律法によるのなら、それはもはや約束によるのではありません。しかし神は、約束によって相続の恵みをアブラハムに賜わったのです。」
言い換えるなら、イエスによる新契約は、モーセの430年前に生きたアブラハムを通して、実際には律法よりも前に提示されていたのである。
