Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 9
In v.1-3, Moses declares to Israel that God would lead them to victory over the giants of the land as He had promised. But then he reminds them that victory wouldn’t be because of their righteousness, but because of the wickedness of Canaanites and God’s desire to fulfill His promise to Abraham (v.4-6). This applies to the LDR, too!
Then Moses points out Israel’s sins: Worshiping the golden calf at Mt. Sinai (v.7-21), Complaining at 3 places (v.22) and Rebelling against God’s command to enter Canaan (v.23-24). The church needs humility to enter LDR!

Devotion 2 of 2: Deut 10
V.22 says, “Your fathers went down to Egypt with seventy persons, and now the Lord your God has made you as the stars of heaven in multitude.” Not because of Israel’s goodness or size, but because of God’s promise to Abraham, He transformed the Jewish nation from 70 people to millions, like the stars of heaven!
God wants to do the same for the church in Japan, not because of our righteousness or worthiness, but because of His promise in Rev 7:9-14! Let’s believe that Jesus’ followers will become tens of millions through the LDR!
