Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 19
There are 3 parts to this psalm. V.1-6 describe God’s creation, v.7-11 describe the Word of God, and v.12-14 describe human life.
Creation tells us many things about the greatness of its Creator God! The newest telescopes indicate the universe has about 2T galaxies with perhaps 100B stars in each galaxy. This means there are more stars in the universe than there are grains of sand in all the beaches and deserts in the world! This shows us how great our Creator God must be!

この詩篇は3つの部分から成り立っています。1～6節は神の創造について、7～11節は神の言葉について、そして12-14節は人間の生活について述べています。
創造は、創造主である神の偉大さについて多くのことを教えてくれます。最新の望遠鏡によると、宇宙には約2兆個の銀河があり、それぞれの銀河にはおそらく1000億個の星が存在するとされています。これは、宇宙の星の数が、世界中の砂浜や砂漠にある砂粒の数よりも多いことを意味します。このことから、創造主である神がいかに偉大であるかが分かります。

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 3
V.10 says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” V.19-20 say, “…we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
The message of the 1st 20 verses of this chapter is devastating—all humans are sinful! But v.21-31 give us hope, apart from the law! The hope is that we can be justified by faith, not works! Praise God for forgiveness by faith!

10節には「義人はいない、一人もいない」とあります。19-20節には「さて、私たちは、律法の言うことはみな、律法の下にある人々に対して言われていることを知っています。それは、すべての口がふさがれて、全世界が神のさばきに服するためです。なぜなら、律法を行うことによっては、だれひとり神の前に義と認められないからです･･･」とあります。
この章の最初の20節のメッセージは衝撃的です。すべての人は罪人です！しかし、21-31節は、希望を与えてくれます！その希望とは、行いではなく信仰によって義と認められるということです！信仰による赦しを与えてくださる神を賛美しましょう！
