Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 1
This famous, beloved psalm contrasts the righteous (v.1-3) and the ungodly (v.4-5). I want to focus on v.4, “The ungodly are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.”
Actually, the contents of this verse can apply to both the righteous and the ungodly! Here, it applies to the ungodly, who are the worthless rubbish of the wheat, the chaff, which the Holy Spirit will blow away as worthless. In Matt 3:10-13, it applies to the righteous, whom the Spirit will cleanse of sin. Let’s be purified by the Spirit!

この有名な、愛されている詩篇は、正しい者（1-3節）と悪者（4-5節）を対比させています。特に4節の「悪者は、それとは違い、まさしく、風が吹き飛ばすもみがらのようだ」に注目したいと思います。
実は、この節の内容は義人にも悪者にも当てはまります。ここでは、罪人、つまり麦のくず、もみ殻にあたる者を指しており、聖霊によって吹き飛ばされる無価値な存在です。一方、マタイ3:10-13では、聖霊によって罪から清められる義人を指しています。私たちも聖霊によって清められましょう！

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 1
The 4 gospels introduce who Jesus is to the world. In v.9-11, when Jesus was baptized by John, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him as a dove, and God said, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
So, Jesus is the Son of God! What does it mean? It means He’s not like you or me! God was His father, and Mary was His mother! He didn’t have an earthly father! He was God and man! He was sent by God the Father from heaven to tell mankind about heaven (v.14) and how to get there and how to live! Let’s seriously listen to Him.

四福音書は、イエスがどのような方であるかを世界に紹介しています。9～11節では、イエスがヨハネから洗礼を受けた時、聖霊が鳩の形をしてイエスの上に降り、神は「あなたは、わたしの愛する子、わたしはあなたを喜ぶ」と言われました。
つまり、イエスは神の子なのです！どういう意味でしょうか？それは、イエスは私たちとは全く違う存在だということです！神はイエスの父であり、マリヤは母でした！地上の父はいませんでした！イエスは神であり、人でした！天から父なる神によって遣わされ、人類に天国について（14節）、そしてそこへ行く方法と生きる方法を伝えるために来られたのです！
