Devotion 1 of 2: Ex 25
V.10a says, “And they shall make an ark of acacia wood…” The Ark of the Covenant was the 1st of the 7 pieces of furniture in Moses’ Tabernacle that was mentioned in Exodus. This shows its importance. It symbolized the presence, glory and power of God, which was the first thing to be lost and the last to be restored to the church.

Devotion 2 of 2: Ex 26
The Holy Place of the tabernacle was covered with 10 linen curtains (v.1). 5 of the curtains were sown together to make a large covering. This was done twice to make 2 large coverings (v.3). To join the 2 coverings, 50 loops of blue yarn were attached to one side of both coverings, and these loops were joined by 50 clasps of gold (v.4-6).
This beautiful allegory tells us how God wants to unite the church! 50 is the number of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was poured out. Blue is also the color of the Spirit. Let’s yield to the Spirit! He will unite the church!

幕屋の聖所は10枚の亜麻布の幕で覆われていました（1節）。そのうち5枚の幕をつなぎ合わせて大きな覆いを作り、これを2回繰り返して2枚の大きな覆いを作りました（3節）。2枚の覆いを繋ぎ合わせるために、それぞれの覆いの端に50個の青いひもの輪を付け、それらを50個の金の留め金で繋ぎ合わせました（4-6節）。
この美しいたとえは、神がどのように教会を一つにしようと望んでおられるかを示しています。50は聖霊が注がれたペンテコステの数です。青も聖霊の色です。御霊に身を委ねましょう！聖霊は教会を一つにしてくださいます！
