Devotion 1 of 2: Job 7
Job asks several questions that are common to all who have gone through trials. One was “What is man that You…test him… (v.17-18)?” Another was, “How long?” in v.19. And, “What have I done to You?” and “Why have You set me as Your target?” in v.20. And, finally, in v.21, “Why…do You not pardon my transgression…?”
The answers to these questions are found in chapters 1 and 2! It wasn’t God, but Satan who was testing Job! And when he does, we must never curse God, but learn not to complain and to grow in maturity! And when we do, God will reward us!

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 3
This chapter describes John the Baptist preparing the way for Jesus (v.3). He was the fulfillment of Malachi’s prophecy of Elijah appearing before the coming of the Lord (Matt 17:10-13). But the Jewish leaders didn’t understand that. They thought Elijah himself would come. So, they didn’t recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
Sadly, this same mistake will happen in the last days. Many Christians believe that Elijah will be one of the 2 witnesses in Rev 11. But Elijah will come as the LDC. So many Christians will not recognize the Elijah Church or accept the LDR. Let’s pray for believers to understand Elijah in the LD.

この章では、バプテスマのヨハネがキリストの道を備える様子が描かれています（3節）。彼は、主の前にエリヤが現れるというマラキの預言の成就でした（マタイ17:10-13）。しかし、ユダヤ人の指導者たちはそれを理解しませんでした。彼らはエリヤ自身が来ると考えていたのです。そのため、彼らはイエスをメシアとして認めませんでした。
