Devotion 1 of 2: Amos 9

This chapter contains the famous Tabernacle of David prophecy in v.11-15. This prophecy applies to both the church and Israel. It applies to the church because it was used in the 1st church conference in Jerusalem to solve the problem of whether to accept Gentiles without requiring adherence to the Law (Acts 15).
And it applies to Israel because God’s promise of restoring the Jews to their land in v.14-15 follows right after the verses about the Tabernacle of David in v.11-12. V.15 promises that Israel will never be separated from their land again, which has and will continue to have significant impact in endtime events!
In church application, this prophecy will be fulfilled 2x. The 1st was in the early church, but only v.12, winning Gentiles, was fulfilled. The 2nd is the LD, when both v.11-12 will be fulfilled. The church fell down during the Dark Ages (v.11), and God is restoring it (v.11) to fulfill v.12: To win the Gentiles, the world, to Christ!

Devotion 2 of 2: Heb 2

V.10 says, “For it was fitting for Him (God), for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” This verse shows how Jesus was made capable of bringing salvation to mankind. It was by going through suffering to become perfect (mature).
This same principle applies to the church, too! We have been saved and sanctified, or made mature, to a certain level. But it is far from enough to being revival and salvation to Japan and the world! God wants to build us up more and make us more mature so that we can accomplish our final calling—world revival!
This is why He will not rapture His people before AC and the tribulation. He wants us to go through testing and persecution, so that we will let go of the world, cry out to Him and be purified into Jesus’ image! Let’s prepare for this testing! Strengthen us, O Lord!
