Devotion 1 of 2: Neh 5
In chapter 4, the Jews’ enemies were on the outside, but in chapter 5, they were on the inside! The enemy was their fellow Jews! Let’s look at the situation of Judah at that time.
There was a famine, so harvests were very poor (v.3). As a result, many farmers couldn’t pay the king’s tax on their land and had to borrow money from rich Jews by mortgaging their land or forcing their children into slavery (v.3-5).
When Nehemiah realized that, he became angry, reprimanded the rich Jews and then ordered them to restore the land to the owners and even return some of the money and foods that they had collected (v.11).
Endtime application: During the tribulation, if we don’t take the mark of the beast, we won’t be able to buy food, so this story will apply directly to us! Through this story, God is telling the LDC He wants those who have food to share with those who don’t have! (James 2:15-16; Matt 25:40)

4章ではユダヤ人の敵は外部にいましたが、5章では内部にいました！敵は彼らの同胞ユダヤ人だったのです！当時のユダの状況を見てみましょう。
飢饉が起こり、収穫は非常に少なかった（3節）。その結果、多くの農民は土地に対する王の税金を支払うことができず、裕福なユダヤ人から土地を抵当に入れたり、子供たちを奴隷にしたりして借金をしなければなりませんでした（3-5節）。
ネヘミヤはこれに気づき、怒り、裕福なユダヤ人を叱責し、土地を所有者に返還し、さらには集めた金銭と食料の一部を返すように命じました（11節）。
終末への適用：患難時代に、私たちが獣の刻印を受けなければ、食べ物を買うことができないので、この物語は私たちに直接当てはまります！この物語を通して、神は終末教会のメンバーたちに、食べ物を持っている人は持っていない人と分かち合うことを望んでいると告げています。 （使徒2:44； 4:32-37； ヤコブ2:15-16; マタイ25:40）
Devotion 2 of 2: Neh 6
In this chapter, once more the outside enemies of the Jews continue their attack against Nehemiah. They invite Nehemiah to meet together to talk without revealing the contents of the talks, but Nehemiah discerns that they wanted to do him harm, so he doesn’t go (v.1-4).
So, the enemy openly reveals their intention—to accuse Nehemiah of rebellion and of wanting to become king (v.5-7)! Of course, Nehemiah vehemently denies any such thing (v.8)!
Endtime application: Jesus warned of deception and fake news in the LD! AC will accuse Christians of rebellion and cause the world to hate us! Even today, national leaders make false accusations against minorities to stir up anger and hate to arrest, persecute, imprison, deport and even kill them! Let us not be deceived!
デボーション2/2：ネヘ6章
この章では、ユダヤ人の外敵が再びネヘミヤへの攻撃を続けます。彼らはネヘミヤに会って話し合うよう招きますが、その内容は明かしません。しかし、ネヘミヤは彼らが自分に危害を加えようとしていることを察し、会いに行かなくなります（1-4節）。
こうして敵は、ネヘミヤを反逆者と王位継承者とみなすという意図を公然と明らかにします（5-7節）。もちろん、ネヘミヤはそのようなことは全くないと強く否定します（8節）。
終末への適用：イエスは終末における欺瞞とフェイクニュースについて警告しました！反キはクリスチャンを反逆者とみなし、世に憎まれるように仕向けるでしょう！今日でも、国のある指導者たちは少数派に対して虚偽の告発を行い、人々の怒りと憎しみを煽り、逮捕、迫害、投獄、追放、さらには殺害さえも行っています。私たちは騙されてはいけません！
