Devotion 1 of 1: Isa 59

Sometimes we might feel like we cannot get through to God and that he doesn’t hear or answer our prayers. V.2 says one possible reason for that is our sins have separated us from God. When we sin, it creates a barrier between God and us, and until we repent and receive forgiveness, we can’t go through that barrier.
That’s why it’s important to have a time of repentance in our prayers, just like it’s also good to include praise, thanksgiving, petitioning and confession of faith in our prayers. When we humbly repent and ask for forgiveness, God forgives us, and our fellowship with him is restored!

2 THES 2: Free sharing!
This chapter is so important in order for us to understand the rapture correctly. Many Christians believe that the rapture will take place before the tribulation and AC. But v.1-4 teaches us that 2 things, the falling away and AC, must appear first. “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day (of the rapture-v.1) will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition (AC)…” (v.3b).
One probable reason for the falling away will be that many millions of believers will stumble when the rapture doesn’t happen before AC and the tribulation begin. AC will persecute the church, and many will leave the faith because they thought Jesus would rapture them before AC appears and they would be protected from his persecution.
So I believe the pretrib rapture teaching can be very dangerous and cause many to stumble. Let’s study the endtimes (eschatology) and understand God’s plan so we will not stumble!
