Devotion 1 of 1: Isa 55

*v.1. Buy food without money = Under AC, LDC won’t be able to use money.
*v.2. Don’t seek what doesn’t satisfy = Don’t prioritize food but what is good for the soul (obeying God).
*v.5. Nations will run to you because God has glorified you = LDC will be a glorious church that wins nations!
*v.6. Seek the Lord while he may be found = Endtime will be last chance to get saved!
*v.7. Return to Lord, he will abundantly pardon = Innumerable number of people will get saved!
*v.8-9. God’s thoughts are higher than ours = God’s endtime plans are much greater than what we thought!
*v.10-11. God’s word will not return void = God’s promises of LDR will come to pass!
*v.12-13. Joy, peace, singing, clap hands = LDR will be a praise and worship revival!
Let’s believe and confess God’s promises of revival in the endtime!

COL 2: Free sharing!
Some Christian groups believe that the Sabbath should be kept even in the NT age. The Seventh Day Adventists are an example. Another example is Messianic Jews. But I believe if their motivation for keeping the Sabbath is so that they can lead Jews to Christ, I think it’s okay. As Paul said in 1 Cor 9:20, “…to the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law…”
But if a Christian believes that the Sabbath should be kept like in the OT and that the Sabbath is a special day that everyone should observe as a day of worship, then I think that person doesn’t understand Col 2:16-17, which says, “So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or SABBATHS (capital letters mine), which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.”
Paul is teaching that much of the law doesn’t need to be kept in the age of grace, and that includes the teachings on the Sabbath. So we shouldn’t let anyone judge us about whether we keep the Sabbath or not! Jesus has fulfilled the law, so we don’t have to! It’s a new age we’re living in, so we must learn what grace is and begin to walk in it, and not the law!
