Devotion 1 of 1: Isa 46

This chapter deals with various topics, such as idolatry, God’s faithfulness, God’s ability to predict the future, and Israel’s salvation. Let’s take a look at each topic and also apply them to the endtime.
Idolatry (v.1-2, 5-7). The idols that Israel worshiped didn’t save them from captivity to Babylon. In the endtime, worship of AC’s image won’t save us but will instead lead us into captivity to AC and to destruction alongside AC when Jesus returns (Rev 14:9-11).
God’s faithfulness (v.3-7). To the remnant of believing Jews, God will be faithful to them even to old age, not like the man-made idols who cannot save them. God promises to be with the remnant (LDC) to old age, or, until the endtime, so we should never compromise to AC!
God’s ability to predict the future (v.8-11). Only God can declare the future! And he says he will send a man from the east to execute his will! Over 100 years later, this was fulfilled by King Cyrus of Persia, who released the Jews from their Babylonian Captivity and returned them to Jerusalem to rebuild their city and temple! Our God has prophesied the world’s greatest revival will happen during the tribulation in which countless multitudes from every nation will be saved (Rev 7:9-14)! Our God’s prophecies are true and will certainly come to pass! Let’s believe and prepare to be used in Japan for this revival!
Israel’s salvation (v.12-13). In the end, God will save Israel! It’s his promise (Zech 12:10-13:1)! Let’s pray for Israel to be saved!

The theme of this chapter is: “The great mystery revealed to Paul about the Gentiles also getting saved and added to the church!” (v.1-7). To the Jews, this was a shock, and many rejected it as heresy, because they had been taught all their life that Gentiles were pagans and were like unclean animals that Jews should avoid! But this mystery was hidden in the OT, and Paul brought it out to the light, and it became accepted as God’s Word in the NT church!
I believe in the last days God is revealing his mystery for the endtime! It is in the Scriptures but it has been hidden all these years, and only recently God has been revealing it! The endtime mystery is that he wants to restore his church to the glorious church of the 1st century, and to make it twice as glorious and powerful!
The purpose of this is to use this church to complete world evangelism and to bring about the greatest revival the world has ever seen to save many hundreds of millions, or even over 1B souls before the end! At SI, we want to learn about this endtime mystery of Restoration & Revival and be prepared to join in as endtime harvest laborers! Amen!
