Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 18
This chapter speaks about Ethiopia, whose kingdom likely included Somalia and Sudan in ancient times. One amazing prophecy here is that Ethiopia will bring a gift to Mt. Zion (v.7), indicating they will believe in Jehovah God! PTL!
This happened when the Queen of Sheba (Ethiopia) brought many gifts during her trip to Jerusalem to meet King Solomon (2 Kings 10). Ethiopia also became one of the first countries to accept Christianity as their national religion around 300AD! Praise God for working in this nation!

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 18
1) 1-8. Judge avenged widow from adversary because she persisted. *LDC must pray persistently when AC persecutes; then God will answer!
2) 18-23. A wealthy ruler wanted eternal life. Jesus told him to sell everything and give to the poor, then follow him. The rich man couldn’t do it. *In LD, let’s be willing to give up everything to follow Jesus!
3) 31-34. Jesus told disciples about his torture, death and resurrection, but they didn’t understand. *Many believers don’t understand about church going through persecution, death, resurrection and rapture in LD!
4) 35-43. Blind man cried out to Jesus. People tried to quiet him, but he cried out more. Jesus: What do you want? Man: My sight. Jesus: Receive your sight; your faith has healed you. *We are the blind man. We must cry out to Jesus for sight and understanding about LDR. People will try to stop us. Let’s not give up!
