Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 60
This is a psalm of restoration (v.1b). Because God was displeased with Israel, he cast them off (v.1-3), so David prays for God to deliver them (v.4-5).
The Lord responds that Israel’s tribes are his and that he will use Moab as a washpot, perhaps to cause Israel to repent and be washed, and that he would reject Edom (v.6-8).
In the end David declares the God who did not go out with Israel’s armies would again help them from trouble and lead Israel to tread down their enemies (v.9-12).
Let’s believe God will restore the church and Israel in the last days to victory over our enemies, too!

Devotion 2 of 2: 1 Cor 16
Paul wrote in v.8-9, “But I will tarry in Ephesus until Pentecost. For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries.” Even though there were many enemies, Paul kept his eyes on the fact that a great and effective door was opened for him to preach and save many people!
Let us also be aware of the enemy’s attacks, but not let that keep us from seeing God’s calling and purpose for our lives—to see revival in Japan and millions of people saved and going to heaven! Amen!
