Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 14

God commanded Israel to not cut themselves or shave the front of their head for the dead (v.1). He wanted their lifestyle to be different from the nations around them because he had called them to be a holy people and a special treasure above all other peoples on the earth (v.2).
In the same way, God has called Christians to be his holy people and special treasure in the NT age! Because of that, we are to live differently from the people of the world. Let’s earnestly seek the Lord to transform us into a glorious church that will manifest his beauty and love to the world!

Devotion 2 of 2: Mark 14

Jesus took his disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane so they could join him in prayer (v.32-42). Matt 26:40 says when the disciples fell asleep, Jesus told them, “Could you not watch with me for one hour?”
I feel like Jesus is challenging us today from the 1st to the 10th of every month to pray for one hour a day for revival! The disciples failed to pray and so when the trials of Jesus’ crucifixion came, they failed that test and forsook him!
We also will be tested in the last days by AC. We don’t want to fail that test! We want to prepare ourselves by building up our faith through prayer and the Word!
