Devotion 1 of 2: Ex 29

This chapter deals with the consecration of Aaron and his sons as priests. In v.5-6 we see Aaron put on his garments after he is washed (v.4). The garments are important because Aaron cannot fulfill his priestly ministry without putting them on. We also need to wear these spiritual garments in order to fulfill our calling as NT priests! There are 7 pieces of garments, but only 3 main garments. The 3 main garments with the pieces of garments that belong to them are:
1) Tunic (Salvation): Linen trousers (28:42-43), Turban with th Holy Crown (Plate with “Holiness to the Lord” written) (28:36-38)
2) Robe (Baptism of the HS):
3) Ephod (Full Maturity): Breastplate, Band of the Ephod
Finally, only the High Priest wore the above garments. The priests wore mainly tunics with sashes and hats (v.8-9). I believe in the endtime, the LDC will wear the high priest garments while believers who don’t understand God’s plan will be wearing the priests’ garments and will not be fully involved in the LDR. Let’s seek God to be High Priests in the LDR!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ex 30

(2/2)
1) Prayer and praise because Ps 141:2 says that prayer is like the evening sacrifice that burns like fragrant incense, rising as an offering as we lift our hands in surrendered worship..
2) Sanctification and water baptism because priests washed their hands and feet there. Sanctification is the process by which Christians are cleansed from sin and flesh in daily life. Water baptism symbolizes our old man and sins being buried and removed from us through Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
