EX 24 sharing:
V.9-11 say that 74 of the leaders of Israel saw God! But Ex 33:20 says, “You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live.” How can both of these verses be true? One way is by realizing that the 74 leaders did not see the face of God but only his form or glory or light. This is what Moses experienced when God allowed him to see his back but not his face in Ex 33:18-23. Today we, too, can see God in many forms, in his grace, love, healing, goodness, blessing, forgiveness, etc. by having a pure heart! Matt 5:8, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
