Devotion 1 of 2: Rev 18
Babylon falls and is destroyed (v.2, 8). But what does Babylon represent? Let’s summarize her descriptions in this chapter by these 4 verses.
2. Dwelling place of demons, etc.
3. All nations and kings commit fornication with her; merchants become rich through her abundant luxury.
23. By sorcery deceives all nations.
24. Blood of prophets and saints and all slain on earth found in her.
I believe Babylon represents false religion or the false prophet because of v.2, 23 and 24, and mammon (money) because of v.3. Let’s not be deceived by the false prophet or money but follow only Jesus, our Savior!

Devotion 2 of 2: Zech 14
From v.1-4, we see the conclusion of the Battle of Armageddon. At first, AC’s forces overrun Israel, capturing half of Jerusalem. But Jesus will respond to the Jews’ cry for help, and he will return to earth on the Mount of Olives. A plague will strike Israel’s enemies (v.12), and they will even kill each other (v.13)! Thus will begin the Millennial Kingdom with Jesus reigning over all the earth (v.9). Let’s pray that God will fulfill his plans in this battle.
