Devotion 1 of 1: Heb 13
1) Our altar is the cross of Calvary!
Those who serve the tabernacle are the priests who were still bound by the Law and didn’t believe that Jesus died for them!
No right to eat means because the priests don’t believe, they cannot receive salvation from the cross or partake in the Communion.
2) The sacrifice of praise means to praise God even if things are going bad. To sacrifice means to do something even if it costs you dearly. That’s what 1 Thes 5:18 means: “In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” That’s what Jonah did after 3 days in the fish’s belly: “But I will sacrifice to You with the voice of thanksgiving…” (Jonah 2:9). The result was v.10, “So the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.” Let’s thank God in everything! That will release God to work his miracles!
