Devotion 2 of 2: Eccl 10
V.1 says, “Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, and cause it to give off a foul odor.” Pests like flies, rats, cockroaches, etc. can ruin valuable things, like ointment, food, clothes, etc. We must get rid of them before they do their damage. I used to have difficulty killing cockroaches because I didn’t want to use poisonous sprays. But I discovered an excellent substitute for insecticides. It is soaps and cleansers! When I spray them on cockroaches, they die very quickly! Praise God for giving us the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to bind and cast out evil spirits!
