Devotion 1 of 2: 2 John 1
1) Antichrist doesn’t confess or recognize that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, meaning that he denies that Jesus came from heaven, which would mean he is God. He also denies that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Savior of the world.
2) 2 Thes 2:3-4 calls antichrist “the man of sin” and “the son of perdition” and prophesies that he will oppose and exalt himself above all Gods or objects of worship and will sit as God in the temple of God (in Jerusalem?), to show that he is God. Let’s know about antichrist so we will not be deceived by him!

Devotion 2 of 2: Prov 30
One interesting verse in this chapter is v.4. Toward the end, it says, “What is his (God’s) name, and what is His Son’s name, if you know?” This is one of the few times the OT hints that God had a Son! This was not a major teaching in the OT, so the religious leaders were very surprised when Jesus claimed God was his Father and sought to kill him for it (John 5:15-18)
