A. S were Jews; WM were Gentiles (Matt 2:1).
B. S were from Bethlehem (v.8); WM were from the east, possibly Assyria or Persia (Matt 2:1).
C. S were laborers, low income, uneducated ; WM were wealthy, upper class, and well-educated, knowing astronomy (Matt 2:2).
D. S didn’t bring anything to Jesus (v.16); WM brought gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh (Matt 2:11).
E. S were told by an angel (v.9); WM knew and were guided by a star (Matt 2:2, 9-10).
