Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Chron 5
V.1 says Reuben could not be enrolled as the firstborn son because he defiled his father’s couch, so his double portion birthright was given to Joseph. Another part of the firstborn blessing was the call to rule, and that part was given to Judah, as indicated in v.2, “…a chief came from him (Judah)…” As the church of the firstborn (Heb 12:22-23), we want to not lose our double portion birthright but fulfill it in the endtime!

Devotion 2 of 2: Gal 5
1) By walking in the Spirit (v.16); by being led by the Spirit (v.18); by belonging to Christ (v.24); and by keeping in step with the Spirit and not becoming conceited, provoking and envying one another (v.25-26).
2) Sexual immorality. When I was single, a woman who lived in the same apartment building invited me to dinner at her place. I refused her several times, but she insisted that I come, so I had to go. But the Lord helped me to keep out of sexual immorality. I talked very little, ate quickly and left as soon as I could. So the woman never invited me again! Thank God for the example of Joseph, who ran away from Potiphar’s wife!
