Devotion 1 of 3: Ezek 27
I'm sorry for being late in posting Sun and Mon's devotions! Once more, I was exhausted after being up all night on Sat! So here my SUN, 5/28, Devotions:
EZEK 27 sharing: Ezekiel is targeting more prophecies of judgment against Tyre than other nations. I think the reason is found in the next chapter. There is a prophecy that most Bible scholars believe was directed against Lucifer imbedded in that chapter (28:11-19). Like Lucifer, although Tyre was a beautiful city (v.3), she was destroyed in the end (v.32).

Devotion 2 of 3: Ezek 29
God said Egypt would become a desolate waste (v.9) because they were like a reed that broke when Israel leaned on them (v.6-7), so they were not a dependable help to Judah to protect them from Babylon. The church should be a strong supporter of Israel, especially in the last days, because AC will persecute and try to exterminate them (Rev 12:4-6, 13-17)!

Devotion 3 of 3: Matt 27
In v.46, Jesus cried out the saddest words of his life, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” The Father had turned away from the Son! That’s why the earth became dark for 3 hours, from 12 noon to 3 PM (Mark 15:33)! To Jesus, his relationship with the Father was the most important thing in life, but that was cut off! Why? The Unification Church teaches that it was because Jesus’ failed to save mankind, and that’s why the 2nd Christ, Sun Myung Moon, needed to come to do it right! But they don’t understand the Bible! Rather than failure, those words show the price that Jesus had to pay to redeem man from sin! It shows how great his and the Father’s love for humanity was! Those words should not be used to justify a false Christ’s appearance, but rather they should move our heart to tears!
