Devotion 1 of 2: Acts 6
1) Hebrew widows were being favored above Hellenist widows in the daily distribution of food.
2) In today’s world, while the problem of prejudice is not completely absent, it is largely solved by having ethnically-divided churches! For example, in Japan, because of language and cultural differences, many churches are divided by ethnicity, like Japanese, international, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, Burmese, etc., and so churches don’t usually experience racial prejudice within the churches. PTL!
3) They appointed 7 young men, like Stephen, who was full of faith and the Holy Spirit, to care for the widows (v.5). Apparently they solved the problem because v.7 says the word of God spread and disciples multiplied greatly! These blessings would likely not come if there was division in the church!

Devotion 2 of 2: Jer 6
V.10 says the Jews’ ears are uncircumcised, they cannot give heed, the word of the Lord is a reproach to them and they have no delight in it. This is the reason for Judah separating from God and worshiping pagan idols! Let’s guard our ears to hear God’s voice and follow it so we can fulfill God’s plan of revival in the endtime!
