Devotion 1 of 3: Matt 2
We often scorn Egypt because it spiritually symbolizes the world, and because Pharaoh enslaved and tortured the Jews for so many years. But in v.13-21, Egypt is described as a kind of “City of Refuge” for Jesus because that’s where Joseph took him to hide from Herod’s attempt to kill him! So we should not forget to thank God for this aspect of Egypt! There is some good in almost everything and everyone in the world!

Devotion 2 of 3: Ps 111
V.6 says, “He has shown his people the power of his works, giving them the lands of other nations.” God did this when he drove the Canaanites out of the Promised Land because of their terrible sins, like idolatry, child sacrifice, and immorality, and gave their lands to Israel. Today, because of sins like terminating the life of unborn children through abortion in many countries, God will do the same thing in the spiritual realm by giving all of these nations to the LDC through revival and saving millions of souls! Let’s pray for revival in Japan, too!

Devotion 3 of 3: Rev 9
This chapter continues the narrative of what happens in the 2nd half of the tribulation (Trib2), which continues to Rev 19. Trumpets 5 and 6 are blown, which produce torture, suffering (v.5), and 1/3 of humanity killed (v.15)! But man still will not repent of their murders (including abortion!), magic arts (including idolatry) and their sexual immorality, or thefts (v.21)! Jesus came to save man not only from our sins, but from entering Trib2, also! It will be horrible! Let’s pray for our family and friends to be saved in the LDR!
