Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 105

This is an awesome psalm given to Israel and the LDC! This psalm is urging us to remember 2 things: the wonders & miracles & judgments of God (v.5) and his covenant with Abraham to give him the Promised Land (v.8-11). Then at the end is a remarkable addition to God’s promise, directed, I believe, to the LDC! “He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, and they inherited the labor of the nations!” (v.44, NKJ) In other words, just as God gave Israel the land of Canaan, he promises to give the LDC the lands of their own nations, which are the people in their nations! In other words, God will send revival to every nation that has an LDC seeking him for a great harvest of souls in their nation! Amen! PTL!

Devotion 2 of 2: Rev 3

5) Sardis (v.1-6) = 1500-20?? (Reformation and beyond Church). “Reputation of being alive but you are dead” (v.1) = This church restored life to the church through the Protestant Reformation Movement beginning in 1517, but it gradually got bogged down in religious traditions and lost its spiritual life! “Your deeds unfinished” (v.2) = The reformation was not the end of church restoration; it was merely the beginning, but many churches stopped being restored! “You will not know what hour I will come upon you” (v.3) = This church will not know when the Rapture will occur!
