Devotion 1 of 2: Philem 1

In this book, Paul is an example of a leader whose high moral standards transformed his disciples from sinful lifestyles to high moral behavior. A slave named Onesimus had probably stolen from his master, Philemon (v.18), so he was useless (v.11), but through Paul, he was saved (v.10) and became useful (v.11). The LDC will be led by a God-fearing, righteous five-fold ministry (Eph 4:11-16), who, because they keep a high moral standard, will be able to raise up the church until we reach unity in the faith and become mature, attaining to the fullness of Christ!

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 100

V.4 says to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise. This shows that thanksgiving and praise are one way to enter God’s presence. This truth was emphasized in the 1948 Latter Rain Revival, which also saw the truth of David’s Tabernacle (DT) restored. DT also teaches about the Key of David. Jesus holds this key and opens and shuts doors for the church in Philadelphia in Rev 3:7-13. This church is a picture of the LDC because they will see the return of Jesus (Rev 3:11). Linking Ps 100:4 to Rev 3:7 reveals that the key of David opens and shuts the door into God’s presence! Let’s worship God throughout the day to always be walking in his presence! And let’s praise him with all our heart in church every Sunday, believing one day his presence will come down in our praise, and the LDR will begin!
