Devotion 1 of 2: Ps 69

I think David meant that Saul was trying to catch him to kill him, so he couldn’t go home for several years, so it was like he was a stranger to his own family!

Devotion 2 of 2: Titus 3

I think Paul’s opinion that “such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned” (v.11), may have been true for some people, but we should not apply his judgment to everyone. If we did, I think we would have many human relationship problems. My thinking is that most people are trying their best, and if they’re wrong, it’s not because they’re bad. It’s because they made a wrong choice or a wrong analysis, which I also do sometimes! Anyway, I’ve had several discussions with Christians about Donald Trump. Many U.S. Evangelical Christians support Trump very strongly, but I don’t. Most of my discussions with them have been respectful, polite, honoring each other’s right to have one’s own opinion. But one person was argumentative and a strong Trump supporter, and said I was a novice and didn’t understand politics, so I felt I should avoid talking with him because it would be unprofitable, as Paul said (v.9).
