Devotion 1 of 2: Col 2
3 things that Jesus and God have done for us are: 1) Brought us to fullness (of God, v.9-10), 2) Circumcised us, not by human hands (v.11) and 3) Put off our flesh-ruled self (v.11). And 2 teachings that pulled the Colossians away from centrality of Christ were: 1) Deceptive, fine-sounding arguments (v.4) and 2) Hollow and deceptive philosophy that depends on human tradition and elemental spiritual forces of this world (v.8).

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 55
Verse 5 says that nations will come running to you (the church) because God has endowed us with splendor! God’s promise of restoring the fallen tabernacle of David (Amos 9:11), which is the church, fits in with v.5’s prophecy because when the DT church is restored, it will be full of God’s presence and glory and it will be used for saving the nations of the world (Amos 9:12).
