Devotion 1 of 2: Eph 2
The 4 pictures of the church are God’s household (v.19), a building (21) a holy temple (v.21), and God’s dwelling (v.22). One spiritual lesson we can learn from the church being the household of God is that we are no longer foreigners and strangers, but all fellow citizens of God’s family (v.19). This is especially applicable to a service like SI, which has people from many countries attending!

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 45
In v.4, God said that he summoned Cyrus by name and gave him a title of honor (king), though Cyrus didn’t acknowledge him! Cyrus was a Persian king, so he didn’t know about Jehovah of the Jews. And yet almost 200 years before it happened, God declared that he would use a king named Cyrus to free the Jewish exiles and rebuild Jerusalem (v.13)!
