Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 8
Verse 7 says, “But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.” We try to excel in in many things by studying and training, etc., but how can we excel in giving? Maybe the best way is by doing! As we give and see how it benefits God’s kingdom and others, we are blessed, and we want to give more! PTL!

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 32
I think the king was Hezekiah (and also Jesus), who was a good ruler, although he also made some mistakes. One benefit of his rule was: no longer will the fool be called noble nor the scoundrel be highly respected (v.5). This is needed in today’s society because in some nations scoundrels are highly respected! One example is the USA, where a former president committed a crime by taking top secret documents from the White House to his home in Florida, but when the FBI did a search and took those documents back, he condemned them, accusing them of planting those documents in his home, and his followers blindly supported him and threatened the FBI and the agents who carried out the search! Another example is how Russia lifts up Vladimir Putin, although he is destroying Ukraine and killing so many of its citizens!
