Devotion 1 of 2: 2 Cor 2
Paul is talking about the man who was sleeping with his father’s wife, whom he told the Corinthian Church to put out of the church and hand over to Satan to go through suffering, so that he will repent and be saved (1 Cor 5:1-5). Apparently they did that and the man did suffer a lot and became repentant, but the church didn’t forgive him and welcome him back! So here in 2 Cor 2, Paul urged them to forgive him, reaffirm their love for him and receive him back into fellowship! The lesson is we should deal with serious sin in the church, but when the perpetrator repents, we should also forgive with love.

Devotion 2 of 2: Isa 26
Verses 9-10 are saying that evil must be punished or people will not learn righteousness and will do more evil (v.10). The grace mentioned in v.10 means not holding people accountable and not making them take responsibility for their actions, so it’s not the kind of grace that comes from Christ. I see U.S. society becoming very violent because evil speeches encouraging anger and insurrection are not being punished.
