Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 9
This prophecy of hope was fulfilled by Jesus growing up in Nazareth, then doing much of his public ministry in Galilee, which was the land of Zebulun and Naphtali! Through Jesus, the people of Galilee saw a great light, as many were saved, healed of sicknesses and delivered from evil spirits (Matt. 4:12-17)!

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 9
One spiritual lesson in the story of the feeding of the 5000 is that huge crowd gathered to where Jesus was! In the same way, thousands of people will gather to the LDC because of the presence of Jesus in our midst. Another lesson is Jesus wants us to feed the people, or, meet their needs! The disciples thought they had too little and couldn’t do it, but Jesus demonstrated to them that they could! So if we believe Jesus and follow what he did, we, too, will be able to meet the needs of all the people who come!
