Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 7
The sign God gave Ahaz was a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (v.14). I think the message it conveyed was that just as a virgin giving birth to a child is a supernatural miracle, so God will do a supernatural miracle and protect Judah from Israel and Syria’s invasion! And the reason it will happen is because God is Immanuel, the God who is with us!

Devotion 2 of 2: Luke 7
One spiritual lesson about the LDC from the story of Jesus and the centurion is that even people in high rank like the centurion will come to the LDC because so many people are sick and need healing (v.2-10)! And one lesson from the widow’s son’s story is that when people receive help from God for their sicknesses and problems through the LDC, that news will spread throughout the whole region very quickly (v.16-17)!
