The spiritual significance of circumcision is cutting off flesh from our lives. As Col 2:11 says, “In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ…” The church that enters the Promised Land will be a church that cuts off worldly, fleshly living.

Israel defeated Jericho by circling the city once a day for 6 days, while carrying the Ark of the Covenant and blowing trumpets, and then, on the 7th day, they circled 7 times while carrying the Ark and blowing trumpets, and at the end, the priests gave a long blast on the trumpets, and the army gave a loud shout, and the walls of Jericho fell down! One spiritual lesson we can learn is obedience to the battle plan, as Israel obeyed God’s battle plan completely.
