Devotion 1 of 2: 1 Thess 5
3 characteristics of children of light are: ①They are awake and sober (v.6). ②They know the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night and will not be caught off guard (v.2). ③They will put on faith and love and hope (v.8). 3 characteristics of people of darkness are: ①They will be caught off guard by the suddenness of the day of the Lord and will not escape (v.2-3). ②They will get drunk and fall asleep (v.6-7). ③They will suffer wrath (v.9). This means they will go through the great tribulation.

Devotion 2 of 2: Ps 65
Many verses of Ps 65 can be applied to the LDC, but I will only do 3 applications. ①The LDC will be the church of Zion, filled with praise and thanksgiving, not of murmuring and criticism (v.1). ②God will answer the cry of his people for revival and will reap a great harvest of souls from every nation and language! (v.2). ③God will do awesome deeds of redemption, healing and deliverance which will give hope to all the world that they, too, can be redeemed, healed and delivered (v.5)!
