Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 22

I think today it’s okay to wear clothes of mixed materials because I believe the main reason God gave that commandment to the Jews was to remind them not to mix with pagan Gentiles in order to keep themselves pure. That’s also the reason for not planting 2 kinds of seeds in the same vineyard (v.9) and not plowing with an ox and donkey yoked together (v.10). But in the vision Peter saw in which God told him to eat unclean animals (Acts 10:9-16), God changed that. Now, God wants Jews and Gentiles to intermingle so that the gospel can go out to all nations (Acts 10:28-29, 34-35).

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 6

In water baptism, being immersed under the water symbolizes dying and being buried with Christ, and coming up out of the water symbolizes being resurrected with Christ and walking a new life (v.4).
