Devotion 1 of 2: Deut 17
Solomon violated these instructions by acquiring a great number of horses (v.16, 2 Chron 9:25…12,000 horses), taking many wives (v.17a, 1 Kings 11:3…700 wives and 300 concubines), and accumulating large amounts of silver and gold (v.17b, 1 Kings 10:14…666 talents of gold a year, 1 Kings 10:27…made silver as common as stones). The result of all of these violations was that his heart was led astray to other gods and idolatry and Israel was divided into the northern and southern kingdoms during Solomon’s son’s reign (1 Kings 11:4-12).

Devotion 2 of 2: Rom 1
The size of the universe, which is at least 300B galaxies of 300B stars each, shows that God, who created all of that, is tremendously huge and powerful. The beauty of nature on earth as well as in the galaxies also shows that God is beautiful, magnificent and artistic. Furthermore, the unbelievably complicated organs in our body, such as the brain, eye, ear, heart, etc. all show that God is incredibly intelligent and wise! What a God he is!
