Devotion 1 of 2: Num 21

Israel’s complaints opened the door to venomous serpents to bite and kill them. When they confessed their sin and pleaded to Moses, God showed Moses to make a bronze serpent and put it on a pole. Whoever looked at the bronze serpent was saved! I had a similar experience when I was complaining about a man who got angry at me. As a result, though, I could not sleep! When I pleaded to God for help, He spoke to me to forgive the man! When I looked to the cross and forgave, I was delivered from anger and could fall asleep right away!

Devotion 2 of 2: Num 22

One lesson we can learn is that Balaam was a prophet (seer), but he couldn’t see in the spirit, so he didn’t know an angel was going to kill him! But his donkey knew and 3 times saved Balaam’s life by not moving ahead, but Balaam whipped him 3 times until finally God opened his eyes, and he could see the angel! Sometimes because we are dull of understanding, we think something is bad and we curse it, but it really is helping us! We need to pray for our spiritual eyes to be opened!
