Devotion 1 of 2: Job 42
I learned several things from the story of Job. 1) Sometimes we don’t understand why God allows bad things to happen to good people (v.3). 2) One reason why that happens is shown in Job 1 & 2 in which Satan challenges God and God accepts the challenge! 3) For this reason, we should not judge the person to whom bad things happen, like Job’s 3 friends did! 4) And we should forgive the people who judge us and pray for them, as God commanded Job to do (v.8-9). 5) When Job forgave his friends, God restored twice as much blessing to him!

Devotion 2 of 2: Philem 1
The reason Paul wrote the letter of Philemon was to appeal to Philemon to forgive his former slave, Onesimus, who wronged Philemon, probably by stealing something (v.18), but because Paul led him to salvation (v.10), he was now not useless, but useful to Philemon (v.11)!
