Devotion 1 of 2: Heb 8
The new covenant is different from the old covenant in that it is established on better promises (v.6). Also, God will put His laws in our minds and write them on our hearts (v.10), not just on tablets of stone, like the 10 Commandments.

Devotion 2 of 2: Job 36
In chapter 36, Elihu claims that God will cause those who do not listen to perish by the sword (v.12) and will cause those who obey and serve him to spend the rest of their days in prosperity (v.11). This is the opposite of what Job was claiming about God! Job said that God allowed the wicked to prosper (12:6) and God had set Job as a target (of suffering) even though he didn’t sin (7:20).
