Devotion 1 of 2: Job 14
I'm sorry for being late in posting my devotions. I was very busy all night. Anyway, this is what I wrote for my devotions for Tue, 2/8. Job 14 answer: Positive statement is v.16 Surely then you will count my steps but not keep track of my sin. Wrong statement is v.19 As water wears away stones and torrents wash away the soil, so you destroy a person’s hope. This is wrong because God gives us hope, not destroys it! But Job didn't understand it was Satan, not God, who was tormenting him.

Devotion 2 of 2: Matt 14
One spiritual lesson I learned from the story of Peter walking on water was that as long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he could miraculously walk on water, but as soon as he looked at the wind and waves, fear gripped him, and he began to sink! We can overcome the storms of life if we keep our eyes on Jesus! If we look at our circumstances, we will be defeated!
