Devotion 1 of 1: Ps 72
This psalm is a prayer that the king (David) and the king’s son (Solomon) (v.1) would do righteous judgments. It's also a description of how their kingdom would be blessed by God (v.2-16). This psalm could also be looked at as a prophecy of Christ’s reign during the Millennium when “…all kings shall fall down before Him; all nations shall serve Him” (v.11).
Let’s pray for Jesus’ Millennial Kingdom to be established on earth so that God’s plan for mankind and this planet can finally be completed. That plan is that the Garden of Eden or the Paradise of God or the Kingdom of Christ be established over all the earth!
TITUS 3: Free sharing!
In the last verse of this epistle, v.14, Paul desires that believers learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may be fruitful in ministry.
One way to do this is to help people with needs in society. One brother in SI volunteers to help the elderly people in his ward who often have no one to help them. And a couple is helping to feed school children in a nearby school.
Another way to do this is to do relief work in areas hit by a disaster. Shalom Church gathered over 20M yen and made over 30 relief trips to deliver food, clothing and other needed goods to NE Japan to help the victims of the worst earthquake and tsunami in Japan’s history.
Another thing we can do is to be filled with the Holy Spirit and power and bring healing and deliverance to sick and oppressed people through the miraculous works of Jesus (John 14:12). This is the theme of the movie, “I Believe,” that the Gospel Media Translation Team is now working on.
Let’s make helping people with needs a part of our lifestyle so we can be fruitful for Jesus!
