Devotion 1 of 1: Isa 56

In v.7b, it says, “For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” What a wonderful name for the church: House of Prayer for All Nations! The call to pray is spreading around the world, manifesting as Houses of Prayer or Prayer Mountains (Korea) or Early Morning Prayer (China) or Prayer Towers (Indonesia) or All Night Prayer or 24/7 Prayer or by other names!
SI has also joined this prayer movement by praying for the first 10 days of every month from 10 to 11pm. We call it SIRP (Shalom International Revival Prayer). I pray God will use the prayers of SI to help bring down the kingdom of darkness and spark a revival in Japan! Let’s all join in the world-wide prayer movement!

COL 3: Free sharing!
One verse that’s important for achieving unity in the church is v.13, “…bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”
Forgiving is one of the most difficult things to do because when someone offends us, often we are deeply hurt and harbor pain or anger from that experience. Every time we see or think about that person, the memory of what they did to us revives, and we experience that pain and anger all over again!
I think it’s almost impossible to forgive by our own efforts. That’s why we need Jesus! And that’s why Jesus suffered so much hurt and pain from his tormenters and yet prayed to the Father, “Forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing!”
He took our pain and suffering upon himself and provided the way for us to be set free. By releasing our anger to Jesus and asking him to take it away, we can miraculously be set free!
Let’s do that every day of our lives for all the bad things that people may do to us! Let’s make forgiveness our permanent way of life!
