Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 37
This chapter tells us the final outcome of Sennacherib’s invasion of Judah. Hezekiah turned to Isaiah for help (v.2). Isaiah told him that God would deliver Judah (v.35)! And God kept his promise! The Lord sent an angel who killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in one night (v.36)! So Sennacherib retreated back to Nineveh and was assassinated by his own sons (v.38)!
In the same way, AC will torment and kill 2/3 of the Jews in Israel, but when they cry out to him, Jesus will appear to rescue the remaining 1/3 and destroy AC. This will be Christ’s 2nd coming on the Mt. of Olives! They will recognize him as the Jesus that they had killed 2000 years before, repent and weep for their sin, and be forgiven and saved! Hallelujah!
Let’s pray for Israel’s restoration to be completed by the 1/3 remaining Jews seeking for and discovering the Messiah, and realizing his identity is Jesus!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 13
Paul wrote in v.5: “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified.” Paul advises Christians to examine to see if our faith is genuine or not.
The way we can know this is if we know Jesus is in us or not. If we’re not sure, let’s pray earnestly to God, confess our faith that Jesus died for us, repent of our sins, and receive him into heart and life as Lord and Savior! By doing this from our heart, we can have assurance that Jesus is in us! Amen!
