Devotion 1 of 2: Isa 32
Judah had many bad kings, but she also had some good kings. This chapter is a promise that a good king will appear and reign in righteousness (v.1). I believe this promise can be applied to two good kings of Judah who reigned during and after Isaiah’s day (Hezekiah and Josiah) and even to Jesus, the greatest king!
Let’s pray that modern Jews will earnestly seek for the Messiah and realize he is Jesus and get saved!

Devotion 2 of 2: 2 Cor 8
Chapters 8 and 9 are known as the Chapters of Giving. They have inspired Christians for 2,000 years on the joys and blessings of giving. I believe that our greatest motivation in giving is to realize that our God is a Giver because he gave us his only begotten Son to save us (John 3:16)!
A verse that teaches how we can give is v.9: “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.” The acronym, GRACE (God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense), is based on this verse! It was through grace that Jesus gave his riches to us and took our poverty upon himself! And it will be through grace that we give to God and to others!
