Devotion 1 of 2: Acts 14
One reason why the people of Lystra changed from worshiping Paul and Barnabas to stoning Paul was because they didn’t understand the gospel and the Bible yet, and their thinking was still controlled by their religion, so they might have been confused or even angry that Paul and Barnabas rejected their worship (v.11-18)! Another reason was because the Jews from Antioch and Iconium came and spread disinformation about the two and persuaded the Lystranians to reject them (v.19).

Devotion 2 of 2: Lev 14
The ceremony to cleanse a person who has been healed of a defiling skin disease (leprosy) is a picture of what Christ did on Calvary to cleanse our sins because the cedar wood speaks of the cross, the scarlet yarn speaks of Christ’s blood, the hyssop speaks of the hyssop that was used to give Jesus some sour wine (John 19:29), the bird that was killed speaks of Christ’s death, over fresh water speaks of the water that flowed with the blood from His side (John 19:34), in a clay pot speaks of His body being offered on the cross, and the live bird, which was dipped in the blood of the 1st bird, and then released live in the open field speaks of Christ’s resurrection and going to heaven to take His blood into the Most Holy Place (Heb 9:12; John 20:17).
